The Fall and more for Liverpool Music Week
United Kingdom | |
12 September 2008
The week-long series of gigs will take place at various venues in the European Capital Of Culture from 30 October until 6 November.
The Fall will help open the festival with a gig in Nation on the first Thursday (30 October) while Martha Wainwright and Angus & Julius Stone will take to the Liverpool Philarmonic on the same night.
Also stopping by will be the Bestival Reunion Tour, with Mystery Jets, The Presets, Kissy Sell Out Live, Sombrero Soundsystem, Cuban Brothers and Rob Da Bank all performing at Nation on the Friday (31 October).
A number of headline acts have already been confirmed for Liverpool Music Week, including Vampire Weekend, Goldfrapp, Dizzee Rascal and Black Kids.
Ladyhawke and Magistrates will add support, as will hundreds more acts still to be announced, who will be playing across 16 separate venues, many of the gigs free.
VF was at last year's Liverpool Music Week and it's the perfect way to feed that festival fix as autumn kicks in. This year's event is sponsored by MTV and will coincide with the MTV Europe Music Awards.
