Emily Eavis reveals Glasto headline targets

Emily Eavis has spilled the beans on a few of the headline acts who could be appearing at Glastonbury Festival 2009.

Coldplay, Radiohead and Led Zeppelin are among the bands on her wish list, as festival organisers begin their search for the big three.

Stevie Wonder could also be approached to fill the 'feel good' Sunday afternoon slot, while Franz Ferdinand and The Ting Tings are almost certain to play after being invited to headline the Pilton Equinox Party. Full story HERE.

Emily revealed the possible bill-toppers during an interview with The Mirror, in which she said her and father Michael have already started thinking about massive headline acts for 2010, when Glastonbury Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary.

She said: "Coldplay are a great Glastonbury band, as are Radiohead, but it's really hard to say at the moment for definite who's going to play next year. It would be really good to have an appearance by Led Zeppelin too, that's one band who haven't played here.

"That would be quite a one-off. But I don't know whether or not it's going to happen...We're weighing up all the options at the moment and we should have more of an idea by Christmas."

Emily also said there were no hard feelings towards Noel Gallagher, who criticised the inclusion of Jay-Z as this year's headliner, saying: "Oasis are always welcome at Glastonbury."

The registration phase for tickets to the 2009 festival is now open, before tickets go on sale on 5 October. Organisers hope the move will boost sales after this year's event almost failed to sell out.

They have also just confirmed that there is no limit to the number of tickets reserved or bought by one person, so long as every member of the party has registered with personal details and a passport photo.
