Hop Farm hops to a three-day festival for 2009

The Kent festival debuted as a one-day event in July after Power persuaded the usually elusive Neil Young to headline.
But following its success, and bucking the supposed 'downturn' in the festival market, the former Mean Fiddler boss has announced it will return as a three-day festival in 2009.
Hop Farm 2009 will take place at Hop Farm, near Tonbridge in Kent, from 3-5 July.
Power said: “I’m looking forward to next years Hop Farm Festival. After the success
of this years festivals I’m going to build the Hop Farm event so that it is up there with all the other festivals both
here in the UK and abroad”.
2009 will see the festival maintaining its 'No Branding, No Sponsorship,
No Registration, No VIPs' concept. There will also apparently be a unique camping experience that "will
be the envy of all other festivals."
Power has only just been allowed to start promoting festivals in the UK after selling Mean Fiddler for £13million in 2005. The terms of the sale stipulated that he not operate in the UK for three years and he has since invested in Benicassim in Spain.
