Liverpool and London will co-host the event this year, which runs from 22-26 October.
'Is This The Way To Amarillo' crooner Tony Christie,
Nitin Sawhney, Wild Beasts, The Maybes? and Wave Machines will also appear at the five-day event.
Speaking about the Proms being co-hosted in Liverpool festival director, Lorna Clarke said: "The
BBC Electric Proms is centred on new moments in music, and we are delighted to be able to join the celebrations of the European
Capital of Culture by bringing the festival to Liverpool for the first time.
"Hosting a dual city event is
completely new to the BBC Electric Proms and will help us reach an even wider audience with an extended line up."
The festival, widely regarded for it's usual collaborations will also premier short films inspired by tracks from
Roots Manuva, XX Teens and Wild
Beasts.
Tickets go on sale mid September with more line-up additions announced then as well.
