09 April 2003
The
Super Furry Animals are due to release their new single 'Golden Retriever' and album 'Phantom
Power' this summer. SFA have played V previously in 1996 and 1999.
Mis-Teeq are joining the line up in the JJB/Puma Arena. Their debut album 'Lickin on Both Sides' went double platinum last year and is to be followed up very soon with 'Eye Candy'.
Big Brovaz hit our radios last year with their debut single 'Nu Flow', taken from the album of the same name. They join Mis-teeq in the JJB/Puma Arena at V.
Dirty Vegas are riding high after winning a Grammy for Best Dance Recording this year. The three South London boys have had a good year with great success both here and over in the states.
Slovo was formed by former Faithless guitarist
Dave Randall, beginning as an album project in 2000. The debut album 'Nommo' features some great international
collaborations. Slovo will also
be playing the JJB/Puma Arena.
Festival Director, Simon Moran commented: "Its great to see such a wide diversity of bands playing at
V this year. As more acts get confirmed their fans are snatching up the remaining tickets at both sites. Many more are to
follow so watch this space!"
