The installation is a dedicated television set that will be placed in the fields of the festival amongst the crowd, playing
visual arts through online film, moving image, videocasts and sound.
It has been set up by Liverpool John Moore's
Site Gallery and Grizedale Arts with help from independent curator Sam Skinner as
well.
FACT.TV will be broadcasting live from the festival online and on itunes with contributions
from musicians, artists and festival-goers set to be broadcast on the main stage screens.
Paint Jam
and Zap Graffiti will also be on-site doing live art on studio walls and showcasing some of Liverpool's
top artistic talent.
Speaking about the art side of the festival, the site curator John Byrne
said: "CreamTVfields provides an opportunity for Site and Grizedale Arts to participate in one of the country's
best and most loved festivals and for artists to use Creamfields 10th Anniversary as a canvas for their ideas and energy.
"CreamTVfields will also allows the Creamfields audience (both at the festival and online) to experience
this unique project via stage screens, mobile phone and the internet. With any luck, Creamfields and Contemporary Art may
never be the same again."
Creamfields 2008
will take place at Daresbury, Halton in Cheshire from 23-24 August with Fatboy
Slim and Kasabian headlining. Click HERE
