Reading & Leeds line-up announced!

Another victory for our rumour scouts as Linkin Park, Metallica and Blur have now been confirmed to headline this years' Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals. Tickets are now onsale!

The Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals were announced last night, set to rock the dual sites for three days over the August bank holiday weekend, from Friday August 22 to Sunday August 24.

The headliners and a sizeable chunk of the line-up was revealed at the launch party in London's West End. Linkin Park will headline the Friday night in Reading and the Saturday in Leeds, with support from Blink 182. Blur will take their new line-up to Reading on the Saturday night, and will close the Leeds Festival on the Sunday, supported by The White Stripes. Rock legends Metallica will unleash their rocktastic riffmeistery on the final night of Reading, and the first (Friday) night at Leeds, with support from System of a Down.

Other bands confirmed to appear include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Sum 41, Beck, Placebo, Doves, The Streets, Elbow, The Music, Courtney Love, Good Charlotte, The Polyphonic Spree, The Datsuns, AFI, The Mars Volta, Hundred Reasons, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cooper Temple Clause and many more to be announced, so stay posted!
