Barack Obama to appear at Lollapalooza?

Presidential candidate may give Kanye West a hand

According to reports in the US press, presidential candidate Barack Obama is set to make a cameo appearance with Kanye West at Lollapalooza.

The presumptive Democrat nominee is said to be introducing the rap star in an attempt to connect with voters.

Obama recently spoke about using hip hop to bond with his electorate on US TV show 'What's In It For Us'. He said: "I've met with Kanye [West]. And I've talked to other artists about how potentially to bridge that gap.

"I think the potential for them to deliver a message of extraordinary power that gets people thinking [is massive]."

Kanye West will headline the festival alongside Radiohead and Rage Against The Machine when it takes place at Grant Park, Chicago from 1-3 August. Click HERE for the full line-up.
