T In The Park tickets sell out in 10 hours

The T In The Park 'early bird' tickets put on sale yesterday have been snapped up in just 10 hours.

Fans still buzzing from last weekend's Balado bash rushed to grab a place for next year when tickets went on sale from midday.

Despite a weekend camping pass now costing £160 the 'early bird' allocation was sold out by 10pm. Next year's T In The Park takes place at Balado, Kinross, Perthshire, from 10-12 July.

Organisers also said that the newly introduced 'Thursday Camping' has meant a significant number of upgrades have already been sold for next year’s festival.

Those who didn’t secure tickets will be able to try again when the first of next year’s artists are announced in early 2009.

T In The Park boss Geoff Ellis said: “We are delighted to have been able to give so many T in the Parkers the opportunity to book their place at next year’s festival and to have sold out in a single day. There was a terrific atmosphere onsite and saw staggering performances across all stages. We have already started organising next year’s event and are already looking forward to it.”
