The Charlatans to headline Ben & Jerry's Sundae

The band will head up the opening day of the ice cream festival, which takes place on Clapham Common, London, on 26-27 July.

Support on the day will come from Guillemots, Delays, Charlotte Hatherley, Florence and the Machine, Brightlights and The Troubadours.

Tim Burgess of The Charlatans said: "I am really excited at the prospect at playing at this years Ben & Jerry’s festival, it has it all....the weather, the line up and the atmosphere. The band have wanted to play there for a while now but due to other commitments we were unable to so we are glad to finally be getting the opportunity this summer!"

Ash will headline on the Sunday, with support from The Lemonheads, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, The Vivians, Slow Club, Cage the Elephant, Parka and The New York Fund.

The festival, which offers free ice cream to attendees, willl this year celebrate Ben & Jerry’s 30 year anniversary, and Jerry himself is even turning up to help sing ‘Happy Birthday’.
