Shirley Bassey pulls out of 46664 Concert

Singer too ill for Mandela's birthday celebrations

Shirley Bassey has had to pull out of the 46664 Concert due to illness.

The Welsh singer was set to perform at the one-day event, which is being held at Hyde Park, London next Friday (27 June) to mark Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday

However the star's doctors have told her that she is still not well enough to travel after undergoing emergency stomach surgery last month.

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is still scheduled to appear though, despite being treated for emphysema in hospital at the moment.

Queen, Razorlight, Annie Lennox and Duffy are all set to appear at the bash alongside a host of world music stars. Click HERE for the full line-up.
