As a special treat for dance music fans, Laurent Garnier's DJ set on Saturday is a UK festival exclusive for T in the Park and he will be joined on by fellow Frenchman Vitalic. Richie Hawtin returns for his second consecutive year at T, after a triumphant and memorable set in 2002.
Taking the stage on Sunday for live sets are FC Kahuna, who'll be offering their usual live mash up of synth sounds with electro beats, and Icelandic nine-piece Gus Gus, who bring their own special mix of glacial soul and bubbling techno.
Remixer du jour, and one of the most respected producers in dance music, Ewan Pearson graces the stage on Sunday alongside DJ Sneak who will bring his signature sound of disco-tinged and deep house grooves to the Slam Tent. Cajmere returns on the same day to remind T in the Parkers why his set last year as alter-ego Green Velvet was one of 2002's highlights. Slam DJ's Stuart McMillan and Orde Meikle will also be serving up everything from deep house to full-on techno, showing dance fans once again just how integral they have become to the Scottish scene since they began DJing together 1988.
T in the Park teamed up with Slam back in 1997 to provide T in the Parkers with a dance
music line up that would rival all others. Not only does the Slam Tent offer fine DJing talent across the
weekend, but it also remains Scotland's single biggest dance music event.
Crae Caldwell of Slam Events had this to say: "This will be the 7th Year that Slam have added the Slam Tent's unique cutting edge dance tent to T in the Park, and as the festival reaches it's Tenth birthday, we are delighted to continue to be a part of it. The Slam Tent has grown to become the most exciting, yet still underground tent at any of the myriad of festivals which continue to appear. We are proud to be a part of T in the Park, and we look forward to continuing to grow with the festival"
