Organisers of the two-day event, which will take place at Darebury, Cheshire from 23-24 August,
have announced that the festival have teamed up with Liftshare.com to promote awareness of greener travel.
The partnership will help cut car emissions allowing festival-goers to meet online to plan shared car journeys to
and from the festival.
Speaking about the partnership Ali Clabburn of Liftshare.com
said: "Festival-goers have long cared about the environment, and love the idea of car-sharing to get there. It saves
money, cuts congestion and reduces your CO2 emissions - so it's win-win for everybody.
"It's
great to be working with Creamfields to bring their festival-goers a greener way of getting there. It costs nothing to join
and just means the fun can start even earlier as they find new friends to share the journey with!"
Creamfields
have also introduced the Tent Donation Station, which will allow revellers to give their unwanted tents to charity so they
can be reused.
Other green initiatives include recycling bags in the campsite, pump-powered taps to minimise water
wastage, solar-powered luxury accommodation and biodegradable plates, cups and bin bags to be used by traders.
The
festival will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year with headline slots from Fatboy Slim and Kasabian
while Pendulum, The Gossip, Soulwax and Simain Mobile
Disco will all appear over the weekend as well. Click HERE

Weekend camping days are available now priced at £115. There are also
