Manchester electro outfit The Whip have also been confirmed for the festival, playing the Oyster Stage on the Friday (28
August), while Friendly Fires will take to the Guitars
And Other Machines arena on the Saturday (29 August).
Hydro Connect 2008 will take place at Inveraray
Castle, Western Scotland from 29-31 August with Kasabian, Bloc Party
and Franz Ferdinand confirmed as headliners.
Manic Street Preachers, Sigur
Ros, Grinderman, Elbow, Duffy and The Breeders
