Camp Bestival to host Mad Hatters Tea Party
United Kingdom | |
02 June 2008
Expect to see everything from the Cheshire Cat to Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee as the Alice In Wonderland inspired fancy dress
theme comes to life on the Saturday afternoon.
The main party will take place at the festival's Magic Meadow
with a gigantic table full of cakes, cream teas and oversized animals, as well as a host of freaky characters designed by
Josie Da Bnak.
Music at the party will come from the Masters of the Kazooniverse while revellers enjoy some of
the silly games on show including wonky crochet and goodminton – a unique take on badminton.
There will be
dressing up areas for both children and adults so everybody can get involved in the Lewis Carroll-style revelry.
Camp Bestival 2008 takes place at Lulworth
Castle, Dorset, from 18-20 July. The brand new festival aims to combine the psychedelic flavour
of sister event Bestival with a more relaxed family vibe.
Kate
Nash, The Flaming Lips and Chuck Berry will headline the festival with Black Kids,
Ebony Bones, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip and Eliza Carthy all set to perform
as well. Click HERE
for the full line-up.
All the entertainment will unfold across five stages and the boutique bash will also feature
comedy, poetry, campfire sessions, kamp karaoke, story telling and even a sports day.
There are still tickets available
priced at £120 for an adult weekend ticket, £60 for a child (13-16 years) ticket,
while under 13's get in free but require a ticket. Campervan tickets cost £50.
