KT Tunstall to head Wickerman Festival

The Fall are also added to the bill

KT Tunstall and The Fall are the latest names confirmed for this year's Wickerman Festival.

The Scottish songstress will headline the main stage on the Saturday night (26 July) just before the traditional burning of the 30-foot Wickerman.

Mark E Smith's infamous group The Fall have also been confirmed for the two-day affair playing on the Friday (25 July).

Today's announcements join a host acts that include Dodgy, X-Press 2, Annie Nightingale, Neville Staples, Alabama 3, Dub Pistols and The Cuban Brothers.

Wickerman Festival 2008, will take place at Kirkcarswell Farm, near Kirkcudbright in Galloway, Scotland, from 25-26 July.

Tickets for Wickerman cost just £75 for the weekend or £50 for the Saturday. Campervans cost an extra £20 and children aged 12 go free. Click HERE to buy.

The family-friendly festival and caters for an eclectic taste in music with eight stages pumping out dance, reggae, ska, world music, Northern Soul, funk and rock.

There will also be workshops, a children’s area, beer tent, craft stalls and a cinema to keep everybody entertained.
