Glastonbury's Shangri La plans revealed
Late night arena will even have a real pub
24 April 2008
Organsiers are promising a world of optimism, exoticism, escapism and a voyage of discovery in itself.
There
will be hoedowns happening at the Barn Stage, DJs spinning at The Gramophon Salon and sessions
around the Strummerville Campfire.
Shangri La will have free-party roots in Nomads
Land, a rave in the Tilted Disco House and a Secret Garden as well, though organisers
suggest festival-goers avoid Boardwalk if they are of an overly sensitive disposition.
The fields
will also include the Slumbarave, Jacuzzi Lounge, Shackney, Club
Dada and Bassline Circus.
Shangri La replaces the Lost Vagueness fields, which were
an integral part of the festival for the past ten years. The fields will have a licence until 6am on the Friday and Saturday
nights of the festival, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset over 27-29 June.
