Festival coaches will be running from 17 major cities across the UK with organisers eager to promote their 'Leave the
car behind, have a great time on the journey and help protect the environment' message.
Speaking about the
benefits of arriving by coach festival organiser, Michael Eavis, said: "One coach is much less polluting
that 50 people in cars, This reduces traffic and fuel consumption. It’s also cheaper to come by coach than with just
a couple of people in car."
Revellers can get coaches from the following cities: Birmingham, Bristol,
Bournemouth, Cambridge, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Coventry, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham,
Oxford, Sheffield and Southampton.
Combined coach and festival tickets are available for travel on Wednesday 25th
and Thursday 26th, with return journeys throughout Monday 30th.
There are also combined festival and train tickets
available from London Paddington to Castle Cary or Bristol Temple Meads, which meet transfer buses to the festival.
The combination tickets are available HERE. Festival-goers
must have registered with the festival before they can buy tickets.
Glastonbury Festival takes
place at Worthy Farm, Pilton, Somerset from 27-29 June with Kings Of Leon, Jay-Z
and The Verve headlining.
