Festival shortlist announced for Indy Awards

The shortlist for this year's Best Festival category at the Indy Awards has been announced.

Secret Garden Party, Sunrise Celebration, Truck Festival and The Wickerman Festival are in contention for picking up the prize after seeing off competition from six other festivals.

Speaking about the Best Festival category, which is sponsored by Virtual Festivals, awards organiser Jeremy Glover said: "Festivals are key to bringing emerging and independent artists and their music to a larger audience.

"The introduction of the Best Festival category this year is our way of recognising this and we are delighted to have Virtual Festivals sponsoring and supporting this award.

"Thank you to all the festivals that participated and congratulations to the four excellent finalists who have proved the most popular amongst our INDY Music Award community."
