Pigeon Detectives for Live At Leeds

| 10 April 2008

The gigs are part of the Live At Leeds festival, which will also feature performances from The Rascals, Metronomy, The Dykeenies, Ipso Facto and XX Teens.

It all takes place on 3-4 May at venues around the city centre. Other bands playing include The Sugars, Grammatics, Hatcham Social, Last Gang, The Debuts, Middleman and The Bacchae.

But the focal point will be at the Millenium Square, where local band Pigeon Detectives will play to 16,000 fans over two nights.

John Procter, of Leeds City Council, said: “The event will give new bands and local talent the chance to perform in front of packed crowds, so I’m sure music lovers from Leeds and beyond will have a fantastic time and help it be a really memorable few days.”

The Saturday promises to be the highlight, with nine of the city’s finest music venues all simultaneously showcasing full-day line-ups of new bands.

Venues taking part are The Cockpit, The Cockpit 3, The Faversham, Brudenell Social Club, Joseph’s Well, The Wardrobe, The Library, The Packhorse and Trash.

Wristbands covering all the venues and costing £10 are on sale now at Crash and Jumbo Records in Leeds. For all the latest news including the full schedule and ticket information visit www.liveatleeds.com.
