Will Young to play at Bestival?

The Pop Idol winner will play a special acoustic set on the tiny Bestival Bandstand, having attended the boutique festival as a fan for the last three years.

Isle Of Wight website VentnorBlog is also reporting that organisers are "absolutely thrilled" with the addition of the singer.

Bestival 2008 takes place at Robin Hill Country Park, Newport, Isle Of Wight, from 5-7 September. Tickets are on sale HERE, priced £130 for the weekend.

My Bloody Valentine are the first headliner confirmed for the Friday night, although another announcement is expected at 7pm this evening (Tuesday) so check back.

Other acts on the bill include Aphex Twin, DJ Yoda, The Human League, Foals, King Creosote, The Wedding Present, CSS and The Breeders. Check the full line up and more info HERE.
