Super Furries answer Standon Calling

Super Furry Animals are among the first names announced for this year's Standon Calling festival which takes place at Ware, Hertfordshire over 1-3 August.

The psychedelic rock group will perform at the 2,000 capacity event alongside the likes of Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, Babyhead, Ratty Rat Rat, The Early Years, and The Black Seeds.

Other acts announced today include Dave Haslam, Acid Mother’s Temple And The Cosmic Inferno, Joji Hirota And Taiko Drummers, Paloma Faith and The Bookhouse Boys.

So So Modern, Sister, New Rhodes, Kovak, They Came From The Stars I Saw Them! and Pre will also be performing over the weekend.

The festival will have four stages of entertainment including the One Night Standon’ Love Hotel which will include crazy game show hosts, harajuku girls and manga characters and the Standon Lordship which will house spoken word and acoustic acts.

300 early bird tickets are available for £69, and when they sell out the price will rise to £89 for the weekend. Camping is available and there are beach huts, ship’s cabins and yurts available to hire too. Click HERE to buy tickets.
