Sex Pistols, Sigur Ros and more for Electric PicnicThe Sex Pistols, Sigur Ros, My Bloody Valentine, Underworld and Franz Ferdinand are among the first acts announced for this year's Electric PicnicThe three-day boutique festival takes place at Stradbelly Estate, County Laois in Ireland over 29-31 August. Joining them on the bill are George Clinton and the P-Funk Allstars, The Gossip, New Young Pony Club, CSS, Duffy, The Roots, Hayseed Dixie and Nick Cave's side project Grinderman. Other acts confirmed today include The Noisettes, Goldfrapp, Foals, Bright Eyes, The Breeders, Turin Brakes, Candi Staton, Emmy The Great, Constantines, Teitur, Cathy Davey and Midnight Juggernauts. Sinead O'Connor, Jape, Kormac and BSQ Band, Adrian Crowley, Micah P Hinson, Blitzen Trapper, The Lionheart Brothers, Silver Apples, Tobias Froberg, Josh Ritter and Tindersticks will also perform. Tickets for the event go on sale tomorrow priced at €240 for a weekend camping ticket and €60 for a campervan pass. Check back for details of where to buy them.
