Kate Nash to kick off Glastonbury 2008

'Foundations' star will open the Pyramid

Kate Nash is set to open this year's Glastonbury Festival, which takes place at Worthy Farm, Somerset, from 27-29 June.

The ‘Foundations’ star will be the first act on the Pyramid Stage when the entertainment officially begins on Friday 27 June.

The London-based singer will follow in the footsteps of Adjagas and The Darkness who have both kicked off the Pilton festival in recent years.

Nash, who is making her second appearance at the event, joins headliners Kings Of Leon, Jay-Z and The Verve as well as Hot Chip, British Sea Power, Elbow, Neil Diamond and CSS on the bill.
