Muse to headline V Festival

Playing their only European festival of 2008

Muse have been confirmed as one of the headliners for V Festival 2008.

The rock trio, known as one of the UK's best live acts, will play their only European festival dates at V Festival's twin sites. The other headliner is expected to be The Verve.

The two-day event takes place simultaneously at Hylands Park, Chelmsford, and Weston Park, Staffs, over the weekend of 16-17 August.

A spokesman at V Festival said: "It will be their (Muse's) only European Festival appearance of 2008 so it’s guaranteed to be a show stopping slot!"

Tickets for V Festival go on sale at 10am on Friday, 7 March. Other rumoured acts include Pigeon Detectives, The Enemy, The Dead 60s and Adele.
