Fairport Cropredy announces full line-up

Supergrass will headline the Thursday night of the Fairport Cropredy Festival which takes place in the village of Cropredy, near Banbury, Oxfordshire from 7-9 August.

Organisers of the three-day event have also added Midge Ure, Three Daft Monkeys and Whapweasel to the bill. Other artists confirmed today include Anthony John Clarke, The Gathering, Family Mahone and Peggy and PJ.

Stackridge, Joe Brown and his band, Richard Digance, Larkrise to Candleford and Muffin Men will also play at the 41st edition of the festival, while Bob Marley covers band, Legend, will perform hits by the late reggae star.

Acts announced today will join a bill which already boasted The Levellers and Fairport Convention as headliners as well as Julie Fowlis and John Tams and Barry Coope.

Last year tickets for the 20,000 capacity event sold out weeks in advance of the festival. Organisers are hoping to have tickets on sale on 1 March with a 3-day ticket will cost £72 if bought before 1 June, before the price rises to £76.
