The Wonder Stuff to headline Blissfields
United Kingdom | |
15 January 2008
The indie favourites will perform on the Friday night at the festival’s new home of Matterly Bowl
in Winchester, as it extends to a three-day event for the first time.
Taking place from 4-6 July, Blissfields
will also be bigger in size, boosting its capacity to 4000 people.
Last year it won ‘Best Small
Festival’ at the UK Festival Awards but according to organisers the increase in size won’t affect
its charm.
In their words: “Blissfields is an intimate festival for all the family in the heart of the
Hampshire countryside. This is a festival for people who want something as far removed from the big commercial festivals as
you can get!”
Other acts just announced include Imperial Leisure, Subgiant, Modernaire, Pistola,
The Jacks, Subsource, The Beat Maras, Andy Comley, Blisskrieg, Nathan"Flutbox" Lee, Captain Phoenix and
Lazy Habits.
The Subliminal Girls, Chris TT, Ruth Theodore, Red Eye Banquet, Skuba and
Life At The Pines will also be playing over the festival’s four stages, with many more due to be announced.
Tickets
are scheduled to go on sale on 1 Feb with an all new website.
