Led Zeppelin for Glastonbury?

United Kingdom United Kingdom | 21 December 2007

According to The Daily Express, a source close to the band has revealed that an 18-month tour is being planned, following the success of their sell-out reunion show at the O2 Arena in London.

It will apparently start with a headline set at Glastonbury after Robert Plant has finished touring with American country star Alison Krauss.

However, conflicting reports suggest the band are not interested in a full tour, with drummer Jason Bonham recently describing the prospect of a prolonged reunion as "greedy".

Also, the Daily Express has based its story mainly on quotes from a "top musician" who mingled with the group at their aftershow party.

Glastonbury boss Michael Eavis said recently he had contacted the band's representatives to suss out a possible trip to Worthy Farm but apparently they were too expensive.

During the recent charity show, held in memory of late Ahmet Ertegun, the band performed such rock classics as 'Whole Lotta Love', 'Good Times, Bad Times' and 'Stairway To Heaven'. Read our review HERE.
