Elle S'Appelle play L'pool Music Week homecoming

United Kingdom United Kingdom | | 05 December 2007

The touted trio, currently being lauded by Zane Lowe and Steve Lamacq, headlined the festival's base venue Bumper.

In a short half hour set the band got through seven songs, including opener 'Mariapa' and their new, sold out single 'Little Flame'.

One excited fan Geri Stiles told us: "I love them. They're the best band in Liverpool at the moment and they're going to be massive, the new Klaxons."

The Liverpudlian scuzz-poppers were one of the biggest draws of the night, which also saw performances by local thrash metallers SSS and indie rockers Voo.

Nearby Hannah's Bar hosted an electronic night while downtown venue Alma De Cuba saw incredible sets by James Yorkston and John Smith among others.
