The Police for Isle Of Wight Festival
Reformed rockers to close the festival

23 November 2007
The legendary three-piece will headline the Sunday night, following in the footsteps of The Rolling Stones who fulfilled the honour earlier this year.
Festival promoter John Giddings said: "It's a coup to get The Police for the Festival, we're very happy to have the biggest tour of the last two years stopping by the Isle of Wight."
The Police will return to tour Europe in 2008 and the Isle of Wight performance will be the only UK festival show for the trio.
The Isle of Wight Festival, voted Best Major Festival at
this year's UK Festival Awards, takes place 13–15 June at Seaclose Park,
Newport, Isle of Wight.
