Bloc Party join BBC Electric Proms

The ‘Silent Alarm’ art-rockers will be performing at the Camden Roundhouse on Saturday 27
October with support from Mercury Prize nominated Maps.
Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell
is also pencilled in to collaborate with Kinks' singer Ray Davies at the Roundhouse
on the final night (Sunday 28 October), while Craig David has been announced as part of Kano presents
London Town Ghetto at the Jazz Café.
Festival Director Lorna Clarke said: “We’re delighted
to add these exciting acts to the BBC Electric Proms line up. They will all bring something unique and special to this year’s
event.”
Other acts scheduled to perform over the five-day event includes Paul McCartney,
Siouxsie Sioux, Cold War Kids and The Chemical Brothers.
Tickets
for the Bloc Party gig will go on sale tomorrow (3 October) at midday and will cost £25 (plus booking
fee).
