The Beastie Boys, Primal Scream and Bjork
headlined as 16,000 revellers came to enjoy the boutique bash. The stunning location provided the perfect backdrop for a brilliant
bill and a wide selection of food and drink.
The event, run by T in the Park maestro Geoff
Ellis, brought the usual array of punters in fancy dress and Scottish men sporting kilts. It also saw festival-goers
travel from as far as France, America and Australia for its debut.
However the festival fashionistas seemed to
take a weekend off. The scantily clad girls usually found scattered around festivals were absent, or at least adequately
dressed, for the event.
Their absence may prove that Connect is set to cater for a more mature
crowd (as was intended) especially with the varied choice of local produce available over the weekend including whisky and
oysters.
