Bright Eyes out of V Festival

15 August 2007
The Nebraskan multi-instrumentalist was set to headline the Virgin Mobile Union Stage at both legs of the event.
Conor Oberst and band were due to play Chelmsford on Saturday (18) before heading north to play Staffordshire on Sunday (19) but ill health has meant the singer-songwriter won’t be performing at all.
Rodrigo y Gabriela have been announced as his replacement and the Mexican acoustic duo will still open the V Stage in Staffordshire before travelling back to fill the vacant headline slot in Chelmsford. They will reverse the journey to play both sets on the Sunday too. They are the first act ever to play both venues on both days.
Other acts set to perform are The Killers, Foo Fighters and Damien Rice. Keep up-to-date with the weekend’s action here at Virtual Festivals.
