The most interactive stage in festival-land returns for what's bound to be another amazing Carling Weekend over the August bank holiday weekend.

Back for its third year at both the Reading and Leeds festivals, the Nokia Rock Up & Play tent will offer question and answer sessions with top bands, plus the chance to become a star yourself by performing live on stage.

Just sign up at the Nokia Rock Up & Play website and you could have an intimate chat with The Enemy, Noisettes or Shiny Toy Guns, three of the hottest new acts playing the festivals. The bands will also perform an intimate and exclusive set following their Q&A session.

Maybe you think you can outdo them. Well, you're invited to prove it by performing live on stage with either your own band or Nokia's inhouse session musicians, who are like a living, breathing jukebox of tunes. Just head to the tent at either festival and sign up.

Tom Clarke of The Enemy said: "Anyone that promotes new bands and music is brilliant in my book, and this is a great opportunity for bands to be seen and heard.”

Places for the Q&A sessions will be offered through south-west-four-sw4-2009 and as ‘on-the-day’ prizes for those visiting the Nokia Rock Up & Play tent.

You can get your questions in early by registering for Nokia’s Rock Up & Play interactive online community website. The best submissions will be asked on the day by the session host.

The site also has full details of session dates and times, plus highlights from the exclusive artist Q&A Sessions post festival.

Marcus Dacombe, Acting Head of Marketing, Nokia Mobile Phones UK, said: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds Festivals for the third year running. It’s a great opportunity for us to connect fans to the music they love.”
