Electric Gardens goes '80s disco
United Kingdom | |
13 July 2007
The trance DJ will be winding back the clock to play the Club Class tent on Sunday night, joining fellow dance luminaries Funk D’Void, Justin Robertson and Damian Lazarus.
He
explained: “I don't get many chances to dig out my old 80’s music so I jumped at the chance!! Lee Burridge
and myself have done a few 80’s parties at Miami’s Winter Music conference and they've become a bit of an
institution! I imagine it's the only WMC party where Chas 'n' Dave and Cliff Richard have been played.”
When asked if he had a dancefloor destroyer in his box, he laughed: “Probably Starship's Nothing's
Gonna Stop Us Now”.
Reverend and the Makers - who themselves wouldn't sound out of place in an '80s disco - have also been confirmed, joining Saturday's main stage bill.
They join headliners Supergrass and The Happy Mondays, plus many more including Calvin Harris, The Pipettes, Kate Nash, The Maccabees, The Rakes, Plan B and Pull Tiger Tail.
Tickets are still on sale but are selling very fast. Priced £70 for the weekend or £40 per day, you can buy tickets for Electric Gardens HERE.
Two more acts are still to be confirmed so stay
