Aerosmith close Hyde Park Calling

Continuous rain did little to dampen the spirits of the day, which saw 18 bands play across three stages.
However there was no question who the day was all about... Playing for 90 minutes, it was the Boston band’s first
show in the UK for 8 years and quite possibly their last.
Festival favourites Jet put in a decidedly
average show, with old favourites 'Are you gonna be my girl?' and 'Roll Over DJ' sounding tired.
Aerosmith, though, showed no
signs of their age - or the age of their songs - racing through everything from 'Love in an Elevator' to
'I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing'.
Other highlights included Belfast rockers The Answer and
London based Haunts, who played a packed out third stage.
Providing an alternative to
Glastonbury, the festival is now in its second year. This year's was the wettest yet, with some Glastonbury-esque scenes
towards the end of the evening.
The previous day saw Peter Gabriel headline the festival, with support from Crowded House and The Feeling among others.
