More bands for Lodestar

One of the newest Indie Rock festivals this year, Lodestar, has announced even more bands to its line up.

Mumm-Ra, Good Shoes, British Sea Power and Architecture In Helsinki have been added amongst others to the bill, which already boasts the likes of Idlewild, Badly Drawn Boy and Pigeon Detectives.

I Was A Cub Scout, Drive By Arguments, Maps, The Humble, The Little Ones, The Teenagers, The Wombats, Tilly And The Wall and We Start Fires were also all announced as new bands to play the festival.

The three day event from Friday 31st August through to Sunday 2nd September is being held in association with BBC 6Music and focuses on bands a bit more alternative than the typical festivals.

The new Cambridgeshire indie-centric festival claims to be “based around a purist love for music”, whilst remaining “free from corporate excess and sponsorship”.
