Pete Doherty to sue festival?

The Babyshambles singer claims he was never booked to DJ at last weekend's dance event, despite the promoter repeatedly advertising him on the bill.

His solicitor is said to be looking into legal action, following numerous media reports which suggested Doherty had angered fans by failing to show up to the Leeds bash.

According to a statement: "Pete's supposed non-show was reported extensively in the media and, despite an admission from Gatecrasher that Pete was never confirmed to appear, they have so far refused to issue a public apology."

Suppose you can see his point, although you'd think he'd had enough of court rooms..

The controversy centres around the Gatecrasher Summer Soundsystem, which took place at Lotherton Hall, Leeds, on 27 May.
