Weller & The Music Prove That Ugliness Doesn't Matter

Anyone who thought good old fashioned indie was dead got it a bit wrong when The Music showed up, didn't they? As 'indie' as indie can be. Northern, long haired ugly little dope heads making intense guitar music. Rather than the showgazing masses of yesteryear however, The Music has an infectious dance side to their 'Roses meets Led Zep rock foundations. Described by Liam Gallagher as sounding 'like a witch' Rob Harvey does have the Plant-styled falsetto, but carries it off supremely well for someone of such a young age.

Anyway, we can say what we want; judge them for yourselves by listening to 'DRAGON SONG' the b-side from their new single 'Getaway' And if you're still alive after that's kicked you between the legs for three minutes, why not send an e-card too. Go on, your Mum'll be well pleased!

The only surviving indie-meister older than Noel Gallagher to still have any credibility (geddit?) is Paul Weller. Given his fantastic new album 'Illumination' and several high profile festival appearances at Move, and out in Spain at Benicassim, the Modfather, despite his hatred towards the internet is allowing you the chance to hear 'Leafy Mysteries'; his new single. A nice up-beat toon to turn the dark winter light, there's a pretty e-card to go with it as well.
