Metro Weekender lineup grows

Incorporating Get Loaded In The Park, South West Four and Cardiff Calling into a cross-border, double-day of mayhem, the Metro Weekender has just announced loads more names to all four lineups.

Dance fans in London will be able to catch the return of Sasha to South West Four on Clapham Common, this time supporting Paul Van Dyk, who was confirmed earlier this week. Other DJs just announced include Roger Sanchez, Pete Tong, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Sander Kleinberg, Eric Prydz and many more. The one-day event kicks off the weekender on Saturday, 25 August.

The next day, the common hosts Get Loaded In The Park, this year headlined by The Streets. Mike Skinner and co will be joined by Dirty Pretty Things, who'll play second on the bill, plus Dizzee Rascal, 2 Many DJs, Mstrkrft, Digitalism, Uffie and more to be announced.

At the other end of the M4, Super Furry Animals replace Dirty Pretty Things as warm-up to The Streets for Get Loaded's sister event, Cardiff Calling. The Automatic, Dizzee Rascal and Bondo Do Role are the only other acts so far confirmed for the one-day festival, which takes place at Coopers Field on Saturday, 25 August.

The next day a weary South West Four contingent will be warming things up again for Welsh fans, once again headed up by Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Roger Sanchez and Pete Tong. Others on the bill include Timo Maas, Plump DJs, LTJ Bukem, Goldie and Andy C.   

Expect many more to be confirmed in the coming weeks and months, including some possible surprises on the day. XFM will be hosting an arena in London with both sites also showcasing local unsigned talent.

Tickets go on sale at 9am on Friday 30 March and will, of course, be available here. For the meantime, those lineups in full as things stand...
