Muse and Snow Patrol to headline IOW

Snow Patrol will headline the Friday night, supported by The Feeling. The Saturday boasts Muse - ahead of their string of sold out Wembley Stadium shows and fresh from winning awards for Best Rock Act and Best Headliner at the 2006 UK Festival Awards (not to mention Best Live Act at The Brits, The Q Awards and the MTV Awards) - with support from Kasabian, Ash and Amy Winehouse.
Keane, The Fratelis, Paolo Nutini and James Morrison are all confirmed for the Sunday, but the headliner is yet to be announced for this day. Strong rumours for this top slot include Genesis, The Police and The Rolling Stones in order of likelihood. Wolfmother are also confirmed for an as-yet unspecified day.
Muse frontman Matt Bellamy said: "The past year has been truly amazing for us and performing live is what we?re all about. Getting the opportunity to do that at the Isle of Wight Festival is an honour. Some of our biggest heroes played the festival back in the 70?s. It?s steeped in history and we cant wait to be a part of that."
Tickets go on general sale 9am Thursday 22nd February, priced £125 for a Weekend camping ticket; £105 for a non-camping ticket, with concessions for childen.
