10 January 2007
Chumbawumba, best known for their booze-binge anthem 'Tubthumping', have declared via their website that they'll be appearing on the Avalon Stage on the Friday.
Meanwhile, Scottish hair gophers The View will play "somewhere" on the Worthy Farm site over the 22-24 June weekend, according to Emily Eavis during an interview with BBC Somerset.
Glasto's heir apparent helps program the news bands at the festival, mainly on the John Peel Stage, and told the radio station that she's a big fan of the hotly tipped Scots.
In other news, the ticket price has been confirmed as £145 (+£5 booking fee). Organisers hope to sell 137,500 tickets, which will go on sale on 1 April, so long as the local council agrees to the increase in numbers. The licence hearing should take place towards the end of January.
