V Festival Heads To Australia

V Festival is to be exported to Australia next Spring. Following months of speculation, two one-day festivals will take place
in Sydney and the Gold Coast with several bands already confirmed to play...
Pixies, Gnarls Barkley, The Rapture, Groove Armada, Soulwax and Pet Shop Boys are the first acts confirmed to perform at the two festivals.
Both days are expected to attract tens of thousands of music fans.
The two dates are at Sydney's Centennial
Park on 31 March and at Gold Coast Avica Resort on 1 April.
first foray into the Australian market is the latest attempt by Virgin owner Richard Branson to export the
British based festival around the world.
In the same year that V Festival celebrated its tenth year in the UK, there
have been one-day events in Canada and the US. Festivals are also being planned in Italy, Spain and South America.

abound towards the end of summer that organisers had given up on the project.
