Funkified Foundation Weekend In Bristol

The Funkified Foundation show will be a two-day event taking place from 2-3 September at the Bristol Carling Academy in the centre of Bristol.

The weekend event promises a selection of the artists originally planned for the Foundation Festival, including Coldcut, Kosheen, Sway, Dwele, Killa Kela, Terri Walker, Lethal Bizzle, Trojan Soundsystem, DJ Derek and more.

After being refused a licence for the Foundation Festival 2006, organisers decided to launch the show as the first of many club nights across the city while focusing on submitting a new licence application with an aim to launching the Foundation Festival in 2007

The festival’s A&R director Oliver Gurney commented: “This show will be one of the biggest line ups in a club this year and is the start of us re-establishing Funkified as a premier club brand in Bristol. After taking 12 months out to focus on the Foundation Festival, it’s good to be back!"

Tickets are priced at £30 in advance for a discounted full weekend ticket (Saturday and Sunday), £22.50 in advance for the full Saturday show ticket (7pm – 4am), £12.50 in advance for the late Saturday show ticket (11pm – 4am), and £16.50 in advance for the Sunday show ticket (7pm – 11pm)
