Killswitch Engage The Crowd At Leeds

The sun is shining in Yorkshire and the Bramham Park festival site is already bulging at the seams on day one of Leeds Festival - but it hasn't stopped Killswitch Engage from being in violent mood!
Playing his first UK festival since being laid up with back problems, guitarist Adam D wound up the crowd to their obvious delight during the band's frentic, day-waking set.
He told them: "If you're standing next to a girl I want you to fucking punch her in the ovaries. Girls, if you're standing next to a guy, turn around and punch him in his English pussy. You English pussies!"
There was also mention of doing naughty things to young girls on ferris wheels, which is too rude to print. Think digits.
The band went on to blow the crowd away with metal hits, such as 'My Last Serenade' and 'Rose Of Sharyn'.
Prior to Killswitch Engage, Mastodon opened the day's proceedings, themselves confessing that they might be a bit heavy and obscure for the festival - the crowd didn't seem to agree though.
Over on the NME/Radio 1 Stage punters have been enjoying sets from the likes of !Forward Russiai and Shit Disco, who've pulled off one of the festival performances so far with the ace 'I Know Kung Fu'.
Stay posted to VF for more news from Reading and Leeds over the course of the weekend.
