28 June 2006
The actor, who has starred in Dr Who and The Vicar Of Dibley, will also feature in the Radio 4 programme, Loose Ends, which will be broadcast live from the festival site. The show will be hosted by Nedd Sherin and will feature live sets from Gomez and Jose Gonzalez plus other poets, actors and comedians appearing at the three-day festival.
Latitude Festival takes place at Henham Park, Southwold, Suffolk (my mum's been there and she tells me it's "lovely" - ED), from 14-16 July and features Snow Patrol, Antony & The Johnsons, Mogwai, The Lemonheads, Mercury Rev, The Zutons, Saul Williams and many more. As well as announcing Radio 4 as a media partner, festival organisers have also just confirmed that Uncut magazine will sponsor their second stage. Gomez, Regina Spektor, Nicky Wire, Mystery Jets, I Am Kloot, The Pipettes, Howling Bells, Captain and many more are already confirmed.
Latitude looks set to be one of the most alternative festivals of the UK summer, with theatre, comedy, film, poetry and all manner of weird and wonderful side attractions proving as big a draw as the music.
