The Strokes 'on the wild side' at Wireless

The slightly 'worse for wear'-looking frontman lost his balance and fell over an amp as the New Yorkers walked on stage for their headline set in Hyde Park.
But the band soon picked things up and tore through songs from their three albums, before covering 'Walk On The Wild Side' as one of two encore tracks.
The set was dominated by songs from latest album 'First Impressions Of Earth', but it was the classics, such as 'Last Night' and 'Sometimes', that got the biggest roars.
The full set was:
'Heart In A Cage'
'You Only Live Once'
'The End Has No End'
'Red Light'
'Juicebox'
'Sometimes'
'Electricityscape'
'Hard To Explain'
'Last Nite'
'Ize Of The World'
'Reptilia'
'Ask Me Anything'
'Vision Of Division'
'Barely Legal'
'NYC Cops'
'Walk
On The Wild Side'
'Take It Or Leave It'
Other highlights on the main stage came from Dirty Pretty Things, The Raconteurs, and Gogol Bordello.
Super Furry Animals drew a huge crowd for their headline set in the XFM Tent and The Harrisons and Cazals performed well in the MySpace/Fender Tent.
'Celebrities' mincing about backstage included Kelly Osbourne and Jade Goody. The BB joke delighted photographers as she tripped over whilst climbing up the stairwell to watch Belle & Sebastian from side of stage. One was heard joking, "I've got one up the skirt!"
The 02 Wireless Festival continues tonight with David Gray headlining and KT Tunstall, Fun Lovin' Criminals, Ray Lamontagne, and Violent Femmes among the support. Tickets will be on sale at the gate.
