Kylie invited to headline Glasto 2007
Eavis revealed the possible identity of one 2007's headliners while talking to reporters
at last night's London film premiere of 'Glastonbury', a new movie documenting the festival's 35-year
history.
He said: "Kylie is coming back hopefully. Her people are
quite confident, she wants to do it. Her shows are so theatrical they are almost like a circus
in a way, which really fits in with Glastonbury."
Kylie is still being treated for breast cancer and underwent surgery last year, forcing her to pull out of her scheduled headline slot at the festival and cancel parts of an international tour.
Other acts that Eavis has mentioned as possibles for 2007 include Eric Clapton,
Dire Straits, Arctic Monkeys, Bloc Party, and Kaiser Chiefs,
however he recently said that the festival would be "moving away from the Top Of The Pops things", as well as promising
something "very special" and "surprising".
There will be no Glastonbury Festival
in 2006 while Worthy Farm is rested.
