Sparks for The Big Chill

Photographer:Edd Westmacott
Playing their first ever festival in a rich, decade-spannning history, The Big
Chill will have pulled off quite a coup when Sparks
appear on Saturday night's main stage.
The pioneering pop band, who Morrissey, Goldfrapp
and The Darkness all cite as influences, will play two very distinct sets; the first will be a reworking
of their latest album 'Hello Young Lovers', the second a greatest hits set delving into their 20-album back catalogue.
Sparks'
Russell Mael said: "Playing a festival will be a new experience for us but it is one we are looking forward
to. It will be great to put on our show in this outdoor location and for an audience who may not have seen us play before."
The band join loads of acts already confirmed to the bill, including Bellowhead, Francois
K, Glenn Tilbrook & the Fluffers, Louise Rhodes, Nizlopi,
Norman Jay, Shri, The Egg, Vashti Bunyan, and many
more.
