The Full Ponty 2006 takes place in Ynysangharad Park,
near Pontypridd in South Wales, over the May bank holiday weekend (27-28). Day tickets for the non-camping event are on sale now costing £22.50 for the Saturday and £19.50
for the Sunday. Buy tickets HERE!
The Saturday will be a mix of sounds with Welsh rappers Goldie Lookin' Chain
and the country's current bright new hopes The Automatic warming up for headliners Feeder.
Delays, The Heights, and hot, new unsigned
band The Poppies complete the main stage lineup.
The following day will have a heavier flavour with
Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro and the ex-Busted led Fightstar performing before headliners
Funeral For A Friend. The Blackout, Bring Me The Horizon and Panel
will also play earlier down the bill.
Organisers of the Full
Ponty say the event will have a supporting fringe programme of world music artists, unplugged sessions, street entertainers
and alternative comedians hosted by several venues across the town.
Muni Arts Centre for their part will host the celebrated Ukulele Orchestra Of Great Britain on the opening Friday evening. The Scottish folk artist Karine Polwart, who scooped Best Album, Best Original Song and the Horizon Award at the 2005 Folk on 2 Awards will perform there on the Sunday.
Complete details of the Full Ponty Fringe will be announced in the coming weeks but already includes a special aftershow party at Kudos Nightclub on the Saturday when a TimeFlies Club Classics Night is hosted by legendary DJ John Kelly together with fellow jocks Gareth Cortez and Dave Eaves.
